I live in an apartment just outside of Kansas City, the second-best place to live (second only to Key West!). The night life here leaves little to be desired and the people are friendly, unless you cut them off on the highway! (It seems to be one of my favorite things to do!) I've lived here all my life and am planning to stay here for a while longer, until I'm ready to move on. My co-workers can all tell you that I've already selected Key West for my vacation/retirement destination. I am employed by a travel/insurance company (that shall remian nameless!), providing me with unlimited information on any city in the world. Key West looks like one of the best areas for my interests (warmth being that the top of the list!). Although I am employed by a nationally-recognized company, I consider myself self-employed. I am a Mary Kay Consultant; that pays the fun bills! I know you're asking what "fun bills" are--credit cards, movie tickets, trips to the casino, etc.
The Big Co. doesn't pay me enough to enjoy life so I found a way to be able to! I only moved out in August, but I learned very quickly that paying the bills is NOT enough!

My Family:
+3color="#ffff00>My family consists of me, my cat Oscar, and my 3 fish. We all coexist quite happily, as long as the "children" don't fight. For the most part Oscar's private sushi bar is closed. (Although we did have a trouble with that for a while--there used to be 6 fish.) If you have, or know anyonewho has a cat, you recognize the picture of the mean kitty. That is a perfect representation of my sweet little Oscar when he thinks it's time for me to get up on the weekend. If I fail to notice his warning stare (and the e.s.p. that accompanies it) I am sure to receive a bit of a wake-up call. If you own a cat you know exactly what I mean. The call comes in the form of a cute little kitty attatched to your toe/leg/arm/hand, or whatever else is sticking out from under the covers! I makes the wake-up calls in hotels a welcome thing, I must say!

My Wise Words to the World. . .
If one was to ask me my dream vacation, job, husband, life, etc. I would have no real answer. I look forward to the future but know you can't count on dreams. The only stable factors in this life are work and hope. You will always have to work and you must always have hope. Without either or both life is only two-dimensional and pointless. I believe that work makes the here-and-now possible; and hope makes the future a reality.
